Favorites

Blast is great. Loving it.

I've added a "Favorites" folder to my dock for quick access to the apps that I use the most. It would be great if Blast could let me create a favorites section and let me add apps (or anything) to that folder. It stops me from having to open the finder to start an app, and helps me from overcrowding the dock.

Hello,

there's the sidebar to the left of the recent files list. You can drag any file you want there, including applications.
If you want to drag apps there from the Finder and not from the recent filers list, then disable automatic closing of Blast's window in the preferences, so that Blast will be shown when you drag from Finder.

kind-a-sort-a... With the dock, you can basically put a folder there, put links to your apps (and other folders). For example, in my favorites folder I have a link to Applications, and under Applications is the Utilities directory. It opens up in the springboard kindof UI.

On a side note.... I've been waiting forever for Sapiens http://www.donelleschi.com/sapiens/ to be Snow Leopard compatible. Any chance Blast can take on that functionality and become a launcher as well, learning from the apps I launch?

Hi Mike,

Thanks for your suggestion. We may implement some launching functionality in the future, but I'm not sure what form it will take. It will probably be less powerful than a full-blows launcher application like Sapeins, but it may be enough for most people needs.
