I have had both CS2 and Elements. I have been happy with Photoshop Elements - it suits my needs. The real clincher is that you can get Elements (and Corel Painter Essentials) free when you buy a Wacom tablet.

I'm still using PE 3. I thought I might have to ditch it when I changed machines last fall - the new iMac came with Snow Leopard. However, Elements 3 works fine with SL.

But I'm interested in a Wacom, so my question is - what version of Elements is included?

I got PE6 with the Bamboo tablet last year. They have updated the tablets and the software packages may have changed as well. Check the Wacom website. They will specify what software is included with each tablet.
